The Wayne County Register of Deeds is looking for a Mapping Technician.  The purpose/description includes:  Mapping Technicians plot acreage legal descriptions, verify parcel tax identification numbers, verify legal descriptions, index legal descriptions in the Register of Deeds land records database and perform complex legal searches.  The salary is $42,000.

Auto CAD Drafter

 

Full-time position available in any of the following offices:

  • Iron Mountain, Michigan

  • Ironwood, Michigan

  • Green Bay, Wisconsin

     

The qualified candidate should have experience or knowledge of survey mapping and be proficient in

AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with MicroStation and GIS software is a plus but not required. An

understanding of legal descriptions, mapping and land/real estate terminology is desired. Field experience

is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have experience in survey type drafting and working knowledge of GIS.

Surveying Technician

 

Job Description

Full-time position available in any of the following offices:

  • Iron Mountain, Michigan

The candidate must possess excellent follow-through skills, be attentive to detail, work well with others, and be able to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers. Applicants must be able to complete required paperwork and sketches, as well as have the ability and knowledge to read maps. The job entails extensive walking over varying terrain and in varying weather conditions. Candidates will be required to perform light manual labor, follow all safety guidelines, and lift over 50 lbs. In addition to other duties, the Survey Technician will be responsible for the operation of survey equipment, and will be required to travel.
